Kiat Lee Landscape & Building Pte Ltd has been in the horticultural and landscaping for more than 20 years.

The principal activities of the company consist of Horticultural, Arboricultural, Landscaping planning, advisory services and landscaping maintenance and grass cutting services to government bodies and private sectors.

To strengthen our competitive advantage and sustain future growth, we have diverted and focus more on recycling business. To remain competitive and to be at the forefront of recycling business we will commit our resources to stay abreast of current recycling technologies and environmental practices. We provide the following waste management services and environment solutions to maximize use of resources and minimize waste by recycling waste into usable products.

(a) Collection wastes services (since April 2002) We provide clearance and disposal services for horticultural wastes and wood wastes from construction and other sites on an ad-hoc basis by supplying labour, equipment and transportation service. The collected waste is sent to our recycling facility, located at Sarimbun Recycling Park to process and convert the wastes into woodchips.

(b) We recycle the shredded green waste into a value added compost using Australian Technology.Then the compost is sold to local nurseries, horticultural firms and for our own usage as a soil conditioner.

(c ) In addition, we are embarking on another project, which consist of a co-gen plant located at Kranji Industrial Estate, Kranji Crescent Singapore. This co-gen plant uses recycled wood chips to generate heat to pre-heat de-water sludge collected from the PUB Water Reclamation Plant in order to kill pathogens existing in sludge cake. The heat-treated de-watered sludge cakes are then mixed with compost from our Recycling Plant at Sarimbun to form the de-watered sludge based fertilizers that are pathogen-free.

(d) We are also looking into recycling waste soil using the same technology. i.e. using heat generated from wood-chips to pre-heat sterile earth to produce active soil which are free from impurities and pathogen. This active soil could be used to improve soil-structure.
